»FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Where do you sell Schedule One™ Pro 2006
Schedule One™ Pro has been sold and distributed to hundreds of builders throughout the United States and Canada.
Question: How many users can access the scheduling software?
Schedule One™ Pro 2006 is a single user desktop version. The license is for a single computer (seat license). Although several employees may use the software from the system where the software was installed, they may only do so one at a time. We highly recommend that only one person be primary responsible for the entire schedule so that scheduling conflicts are reduced and control, checks and balances are maintained. The software can be installed on several clients and a server, but additional licensing must be purchased.
Question: Can the scheduling software be installed on my server?
Yes. You have the option upon installation to change the directory where the scheduling software is installed. You will need a drive mapped to the server and the server must still meet the system requirements of the software. In a multi-user environment, the database and main program files remain on the server, however, each client needs to be installed. Each user needs to purchase a license in order to have the software activated on their own computer.
Question: How are the warnings setup in the warnings tab?
Schedule One has a default setting of 15 days for Warning you that you are approaching the closing date you entered on a specific job (e.g. You have a scheduled closing date of 8/30/07 for job 345 Main St. After the tasks have all been loaded into the system via an older job saved as the new or manually entering tasks, Schedule One will forecast the closing date. If your schedule falls in the warning zone of 8/15/07 or later, it will change to Yellow in color. Once you have gone beyond the 8/30/07 it turns red. The real advantage here is, Schedule One allows you to see very early on that your schedule is on or not allowing more time to make up days on the schedule.
Question: How is the work week assigned? We do not work the weekends.
You may also select the work week for your company (e.g. 5 days, 6 days or 7 days). If you select only 5, scheduled Saturdays and Sundays will disappear off of the schedule. Depending on how you run your schedule you have a couple options. If you sometimes have subs working on Saturday, you should use the 5 day view and simply stretch the task back a day or use the 6 day view if more frequent.
Question: What type of support do you offer?
If ever you have trouble with our software, you can email help@scheduleone.com or call us Monday through Friday from 9 to 5 EST. We are creating an online support system that will be available 24/7. We will have FAQ’s, Tips, Instructions, and offer live web help (simialr to the live demo). Support is always included in the price of the software and you will never be billed for the support you receive.
Question: Do you have service releases and update packs?
As we release service packs (additional features) during the year, we will automatically send them to you free of charge or offer downloads direct from the support section of the website.
Question: How easy is the software to use?
We include instructions for setting up Schedule One Pro with each disc however, Schedule One Pro is very easy to set up and run. Simply set up your Company Info and enter a new job. After entering a new job you can select from the template that is installed or create your own by entering data into each field. As you add new tasks they appear in the upper left window on the master schedule (also known as the tree view) and on the Gantt Chart. Once you have entered your first job it can be used again and again by creating a new job, and then when you save it, you select that new job # and Schedule One will load the same tasks for another new job. From there if you would like to edit, add or delete from that task list you can do it from the lower detail window in the task tab.
